I am now assuming that we will start the season at Rose narrowboats Stretton under Fosse. The long rang forecasts are for another hot year so I am assuming this means water restrctionns from July/Aug onwards. with this in mind I am planning a Spring/early summer cruise before returning to Burghfield. Later trips may be possible on the K&A and Thames, weather and any stoppages allowing.
The Spring Summer cruise is proposed to start with a visit to the Crick show then continue down the Leicester Line through Leicester and loughborough to Shardlow, then back along the Coventry and Oxford to Braunston before returning to Burghfield. We tried to do the Leicester line 3 times this year and missed it on all three attempts so it will be nice to finally revisit the river Soar.
