On board power monitoring
This weekend I fitted a Victron Color Panel which connects to the Victron power equipment on the boat and integrates the monitoring and also allows real time logging to an Internet portal (Internet of Things in action).
The panel connects to the MultiPlus Inverter Chargers, the Solar Controller and the Battery monitor and then displays the result in an easy to read animated graphical format.
The first couple of days operation have shown daily solar yields of around 2.5KwHr which exceeds expectations.
Currently the Battery monitor is not connected so the Battery state of charge is not calculated and the DC load is not measurable, I hope to fix that during the week.
There is a link to the online portal on the main menu to see the live data.
Other jobs this weekend included stripping the old lining from the slide in the engine room, refitting the runners and preparing for the vinyl liner, and the new side doors were fitted.
