From our overnight mooring in the pretty village of Gnosall and after taking water we set out past the Canal metropolis of Norbury Junction and through the succession of Cuttings and Embankments to stop at Goldstone at the start of Woodseaves Cutting. Only one stop today at the Anchor Inn for a lunchtime pint in this unspoilt isolated pub, which survives on its canal and caravan traffic.
