Having been trapped south of Lancaster by the leak at the Lune aquaduct we explored the northern extent of the navigable canal by car, visiting Tewitfield and taking a walk up the un-navigable flight of locks to the point where the M6 cuts the canal off with an un-navigable culvert

On our return we stopped off at the worksite to see how they were getting on with fixing the leak. The work looks largely complete with nly one section left to excavate and refill. Then the plant needs to be removed along with the matting put down to create an access road and they can start refilling.
