Aylesbury to Little TringThe overnight mooring at Aylesbury was on a secure pontoon in the basin, handy for shops and takeaways. So we made use of Waitrose to restock and had an Indian takeaway to eat on board.

Today we returned up the Aylesbury arm to Marsworth Junction to rejoin the main line, then up the last 7 locks to the Tring summit at Bulborne where we turned immediatly right and on to the Wendover arm to a mooring behind the Tring pumping station in a very pleasant stretch of the canal.

From Ivinghoe on the GU main line we climbed the 5 broad locks to the junction of the Aylesbury Branch, then dropped down the 16 locks in to the town, starting with the staircase.

The journey along the branch was fairly uneventful, some shallow pounds where the water level was down and some weed which was quickly cleared with a burst of reverse, until we picked up one last load of weed that required a trip down the weed hatch to remove.Overnight moorings in the basin at Aylesbury.

Stoke Hammond to Ivinghoe

From Stoke Hammond through Leighton Buzzard with a stop for shopping then back out in to the countryside for our mooring. Some rather low pounds meaning we went further than intended before finding a sutiable mooring near Ivinghoe bridge.
