11th July 2016 Elton to Oundle Marina
From Oundle we continued up to Oundle with a short stop at Fotheringhay to have a look around the castle ruins. One of the crew decided to get his new inflatable Kayak out and paddled from Lower Barnwell lock to the marina. At Oundle we took fuel and water and had an overnight mooring in the marina then took a walk in to the town for dinner at the Talbot Hotel.
10th July 2016 Overton Lake to Elton
In the morning we took a ride on the Nene Valley railway from Ferry meadows station, a short walk from the moorings on Overton Lake. In the afternoon we left our moorings and headed up river to a bankside mooring at Elton and a visit to the Black Horse pub for an excellent Dinner.
9th July 2016 Whittlesey to Overton Lake
From Whittlesey through the infamous Whittlesey turn to Stanground lock to join the Nene proper. A stop in Peterborough for shopping and to pick up a new crew member before heading for Overton medows for an overnight mooring.
8th March 2016 March to Whittlesey
A quick stop at the Service in March then along the Old River Nene and on to Kings Dyke to Ashline lock and moor at Whittlesey.
7th July 2016 Denver to March
From Denver sluice across the Tidal River Ouse to Salters Lode then along Well Creek through Upwell and Outwell and on to Marmet Priory lock. Along the Old River Nene to March to moor in the town.
