We awoke this morning to find that the canal had been closed overnight due to a collapsed culvert in the pound two locks above us. As a result we were stranded several miles from any services (pub) and no prospect of moving for a couple of days.

At lunch time we reversed the mile or so to the winding hole above lock 7 to turn and then moored above the lock (the lock is padlocked to prevent use). Currently not expecting the canal to reopen for a week and the next update on fixing the problem is not until Friday 24th.
