Worsley (Bridgwater) to Gathurst (L&L ) 30th May 2015
From Worsley continue along the Bridgewater to Leigh where we join the Leeds and Liverpool. Through Plank Lane Lift bridge and we meet our first lock since Dutton. Climbing up the two locks to Wigan junction, past Wigan pier and then drop past Crooke to a mooring at Gathurst to vist the canal side Indian restaurant in the former Navigation Pub.
Dunham Massey to Worsley (Bridgewater) 29th May 2015
From Dunham Massey in to Altringham and Sale with a stop in Sale to restock provisions. From Sale through Stretford to waters meeting and the Leigh branch over the Manchester ship canal on the Barton swing aquaduct, then leaving the built up area behind and a mooring in Worsley. Excelling Dinner at Georges restaurant just by Worsley Delph.
Grappenhall to Dunham Massey (Bridgewater) 28th May 2015
From Grappenhall a short trip through Lymn to Dunham Massey. An afternoon visit to Dunham Massey Gardens for a walk around and a Cream Tea.
Acton Bridge (T&M) to Grappenhall (Bridgewater) 27th May 2015
From Acton Bridge on the Trent and Mersey north to Dutton stop lock and then through Preston Brook Tunnel to join the Bridgwater Canal. East on the Bridgewater, past Daresbury Technology Center. After rescuing a boat that had come adrift in Stockton Heath continuing to an overnight mooring at Grappenhall.
Broken Cross to Acton Bridge (T&M) 26th May 2015
From Broken Cross to Lion Salt works for lunch (Salt Barge) followed by an impromptu tour of the new museum. Well worth a visit. From Lion Salt works to Anderton then through Saltersford and Barnton tunnels and continue to Acton Bridge for an overnight mooring.
