Daily Video log
Here is the first of what I plan to be the daily video log taken withthe new Raspberry Pi Bow Cam and converted to a stop motion film.
On board power monitoring
This weekend I fitted a Victron Color Panel which connects to the Victron power equipment on the boat and integrates the monitoring and also allows real time logging to an Internet portal (Internet of Things in action).
The panel connects to the MultiPlus Inverter Chargers, the Solar Controller and the Battery monitor and then displays the result in an easy to read animated graphical format.
The first couple of days operation have shown daily solar yields of around 2.5KwHr which exceeds expectations.
Side door replacement
The replacement door liners for the side hatch are taking shape, two coats of Yatch Varnish done, two more to go.
Plan to add the handles and the collection of plagues on and refit at the weekend.
Other major job for the weekend is a major shopping trip to stock up.
There is a Canal festival in Droitwich this weekend so we plan to visit that as well.
Chelonian rides again
Another day on the boat to get a couple of final jobs finished off, including applying the vinyl name and diamond decoration. Given CRTs recent approach to enforcing their new cruising rules I am taking no chances.
The next major job was to refit the Solar Controller and get the system working. After refitting the controller the system still did not work and after an hour or so with the multimeter this was traced to a faulty connector which only worked in one of the two possible orientations. At least it wasnt mine.
